How to Write Your Business Plan Quickly

Your business plan is the primary component for your business success.

Regardless of whether you are seeking funding, your business plan serves as a road map for successful operation. While many business owners become overwhelmed by the idea of a writing one, it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Here is a simple process for writing your business plan, which I highlight in the video below:

Day 1: Take some time to gather all of those notes you’ve been collecting for the last several months or years
Day 2: Schedule 2 to 3 hours each day in your calendar to work on your plan.
Day 3: Take all of your notes and separate them into categories based on your business plan (ex. marketing, financials, etc.)
Day 4: Go through all your notes to see what information is missing. Ask yourself, “What additional information do I need to support this business plan.
Day 5, 6 & 7: Utilize these days to do additional research to support your business.
